What are intents and what are basic uses of an Intents
An intents are basically an abstractions that are user to performed some action in an android application.Intents are sending messages through the application if another function needs to be started, like the launch of a second page. Within these intents, we have declare the actions that the app needs to do, and if we need a callback, this will also be passed with an Intent.
The Intents can be performed the following action in an android application :
An Intent provides a facility for performing late runtime binding between the code in different applications. Its most significant use is in the launching of activities, where it can be thought of as the glue between activities. It is basically a passive data structure holding an abstract description of an action to be performed.
How To send and receive the data using intents :
To send data between Activities, we use the PutExtra() method of Intents:
Get The data from the Stored Intents

- Context.SendBroadcast(Intent) to send it to any interested BroadcastReceiver components,
- Context.StartService(Intent) or Context.BindService(Intent,IServiceConnection,IServiceConnection) to communicate with a background Service.

var second = new Intent(this, typeof(SecondActivity));
second.PutExtra("FirstPage", "Data from First Page");
StartActivity(second);
Get The data from the Stored Intents
Intent.GetStringExtra("FirstPage") ?? “Data not available”;
